Alfa Romeo Cars
History of Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo was founded in 1910 in Milan Italy, under the original name A.L.F.A (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili). Even from the offset Alfa Romeo cars were designed with powerful engines, from 40 to 60 horsepower which ultimately led to the company’s involvement in motor racing. However as with most automobile companies during that era, the onset of the World War completely halted production of Alfa cars for 3 years. After the war Alfa resumed its production of cars which was bolstered by additional factories, and once more ventured into the motor racing scene. One of their main drivers at the time was Enzo Ferarri who later broke away from Alfa to form Ferarri. Alfa’s focus shifted after the Second World War and they begun producing smaller cars for the public. Since 1986 Alfa Romeo has been part of the Fiat group and has maintained its popularity through Europe and the rest of the world. While not as popular in South Africa as many of the other leading car manufacturers, Cars.co.za maintains a healthy stock of Alfa Romeo vehicles. From the various Alfa 147 hatchbacks to the classic Alfa Romeo Spider, everyone can experience Italian flair with a used Alfa Romeo from Cars.co.za. Many Alfa Romeo’s are added to the Cars database daily, so put in a request for the model you are interested in and we will do the work for you.
