History of Proton
Proton was the first Malaysian automobile manufacturer and was founded in 1983 and is primarily owned by the Malaysian government. The production of its’ first model began in 1985, the Proton Saga. The Saga’s parts however were entirely from Misubishi and only later were local parts used. Today Proton produces vehicles that are enjoyed in the UK, South Africa and Australia. With new Proton cars entering into the South African used car market all the time, the brand is growing and many buyers are experiencing the joy of these quality used Proton cars.
